The very few times when Patrick is not focused 100% on Jamie's needs, the little guy notices. His recent typical attention-getting ploy is to irritate papa to no end by tampering with the thing closest to Patrick's zombie-like eyes: The TV.
Patrick is currently a little father away than the living room, but Jamie keeps looking for him. Pajama time...where's papa? Bedtime milk...where's papa and my evening TV? Coming home from a walk...where's the goofy guy who prances around the room like a loon?
This morning, I set out a decoy to soften the blow of Patrick's absence. The freckle-covered giraffe worked like a charm.Patrick, for his part, is working (and soaking up a few rays) on the West coast, all the while taunting us with photos of villas and pools. He even tried to make me feel sorry for him because the temps were above 80 degrees...please.
